The paper inside the box is a little rough.  I do not know if she has ever been removed from the box or not.  Hands and feet are wrapped in bubble wrap. Head is in plastic.  Please see all pics and ask any questions I will answer best I can. Because the package is over 21" is the reason the shipping is so high.
