Blue Goodeid Livebearer. This fish does not require a heater and can withstand warmer temperatures than other Goodeid species. Rare and endangered species. Perfect for your ponds and will colonize large aquariums. Males turn a sparkling blue. Females can grow up to 4 inches but usually 2.8 to 3. Males grow to around 2.5 inches. They give birth to large fry. Largest fry I’ve seen for goodeid births and can be kept will small species of fish. Adults can handle themselves with small to medium sized cichlids. This species lives longer than other livebearers, and they are not inbred and nor suffer from plethora of genetic diseases like many commercial livebearers.
