It is a first edition published in 1805 by Richard Phillips, London. 11 aquatint plates showing Copenhagen, Cronberg Castle, a Swedish village church, Stockholm, Haga, Upsala, Petersburg, House and Boat built by Peter the Great, Hall and Winter Garden in the Taurida Palace, Narva, and the Brandenburg Gate.
Lovely fine binding of half calf leather on red and green marbled hardboards. 5 raised bands, a dark maroon leather title block and gilt lettering. Boards in fine condition. Brown endpapers. Marbled page edges. Some very light oxidization to some of the plates. Pages pretty clean but some light foxing here and there. Binding tight. 480 pages plus 3 page publisher's catalogue. 28 x 22 cm.
