1/48 Screen printed DK Decals decal sheet. 

Another in the DK series of decal profiles of Australian pilots, this sheet provides a  selection of aircraft flown by John Waddy, RAAF, during WWII.

2. Curtiss Kittyhawk Mk.Ia, ET512 (P-40E-1), KJ-H, No.4 Sqn. SAAF, 1942;

3. Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VB, EP401, QJ-Q, No.92 Sq. RAF, Egypt 1942;

4. Curtiss Kittyhawk Mk.IV (P-40N), A29-607, BU-G, No.80 Sq. RAAF, New Guinea 1944.

John Lloyd Waddy, OBE, DFC (10 December 1916 – 11 September 1987) was a senior officer and fighter pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) during WWII.

He shot down 15 enemy aircraft during the North African campaign, serving with Royal Air Force and South African Air Force squadrons. As one of Australia's top-scoring aces in the Western Desert, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.   Waddy went on to command No. 80 Squadron RAAF in the South West Pacific, where he was awarded the US Air Medal. 

Post war, Waddy later served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly and Minister of the Crown.
