I have for offer an early Canadian, British Columbia, A Phillips Victoria (VI) Vancouver Island, Stoneware Ginger Beer bottle. This bottle is part of a larger group recovered by my Dad who used to dive shipwrecks around the British Islands. I understand that Mr A (Alex) Phillips had this bottle made by Doulton Lambeth and then shipped them in bulk to Canada c1858-1876. However this one along with the others never made it and my Dad found them diving over 100 years later and put them away, not knowing how important they were. It is in good condition, but does have a lip chip (pictured). There is no other chip or crack and it's embossing is superb. Without this minor flaw it would have been one of the better bottles in the collection, however it's rarity makes up that. I will be selling the whole collection over the next few months and if you have any further questions about this or the other bottle please just ask. Regards Finderkeeperkent. UK.
