MicroChamps 1:64 Benetton-Ford B193 Michael Schumacher Estoril 26 September 1993.

From the "Michael Schumacher Collection", a highly detailed MicroChamps 1:64 scale replica model Benetton-Ford B193, driven by Michael Schumacher in the Portuguese Grand Prix, held over 71 laps of the Autodromo do Estoril circuit, on 26 September 1993.

With a best time of 1:13.403 from Qualifying 1, Michael Schumacher occupied sixth spot on the starting grid, behind Hill, Prost, Hakkinen, Senna and Alesi.

Hill's engine refused to fire for the parade lap and had to start from the back of the grid. As the McLarens squeezed out Prost at the start of the race, Alesi took advantage to lead from Senna, Hakkinen and Prost, with Schumacher fifth. While he top six stayed together, Prost and Schumacher were on one-stop strategies. Senna's engine blew on lap 20, as Alesi, Hakkinen and Schumacher pitted, with Hakkinen emerging ahead of Schumacher. Schumacher passed Hakkinen on lap 25, pulled away, and took the lead when Prost pitted on lap 29. On lap 33 Hakkinen crashed into the wall at the final corner, Berger's suspension failed in spectacular fashion three laps later, and Blundell crashed from sixth on lap 52, as Prost began to pressure Schumacher. However, with second enough for Prost to win the championship, he did not take any chances and, despite a minor off, Schumacher held his lead to win by 0.982 seconds: claiming his second Formula One Grand Prix victory.
