Vintage Ivory Muslin Greek Key Blue Embroidered Hungarian Peasant Blouse Top

This vintage ivory muslin Greek key blue embroidered Hungarian peasant blouse top dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer fine off white ivory silk cotton blend woven muslin fabric, with blue and cream color silk thread needlework hand embroidery work done in decorative geometric designs, Greek key meander motif border, smocking along the shoulders and whip stitch trim edging. This pretty peasant style bohemian Hungarian Greek folk blouse has a V front neckline with blue rope tassel tie closure, gathered shoulders, puffed short sleeves, a fold over collar and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 21 inches long, with a 42 inch chest, 36 inch waist and 17 inch back. It is in good condition, has not been cleaned with yellowing discoloration staining on the back (see close-up). This is a truly wonderful piece of wearable bohemian Hungarian peasant folk art!
