Edwardian White Linen Lace Long Sleeveless Vest Coat Overdress Polonaise

This antique Edwardian era white linen lace long sleeveless vest coat overdress polonaise dates from 1910. It is made of a white fine linen fabric with sheer cutout lace inserts and trim edging. This lovely linen lace long tea length sleeveless vest coat style polonaise overdress has an open front with a knotted rope tassel toggle closure at the chest, decorative lace trim edging around the neckline collar, cuffs arm holes, front opening, bottom skirt hemline and is sheer, unlined. The coat measures 42 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 36 inch waist and 14 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a tiny faint age spot stain on the back side and several small frayed breaks in the lace (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
