This antique Victorian era whitework embroidery cutwork crosses cotton baptismal dress christening gown dates from the late 19th century. It is made of a white cotton fabric with pintuck pleats, whitework embroidery satin stitch, eyelet cutwork, crosses designs and scalloped lace ruffle trim edging. This beautiful baby baptismal dress infants christening gown is loose fitting with a long full skirt, ruffled whitework embroidery layered bottom hemline, ruffle flounce trimmed bib V front top, long full sleeves with lace ruffle cuffs, a lace trim neckline collar, adjustable drawstring closures down the back neck, waist and is unlined. The gown measures 39 inches long, with a 22 inch chest, 50 inch waist, 50 inch hips, 8 inch long sleeves, 10 inch back and 11 inch neck. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana baptismal baby christening wearable art!
