Edwardian White Cotton Muslin Reticella Needle Lace High Neck Collar Shirtwaist Blouse

This antique Edwardian era white cotton muslin Reticella needle lace high neck collar shirtwaist blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a white sheer woven cotton muslin fabric, with raised padded satin stitch embroidered whitework details and Italian Reticella needle lace inserts with a cutwork, buttonhole stitches geometric square designs. This lovely lace shirtwaist blouse has a fitted skirted waist, sheer lace high neck collar, cuffs, long sleeves, decorative crochet button trim accents, crochet button closures down the back and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 20 inches long, with a 40 inch chest, 28 inch waist, 22 inch long sleeves, 14 inch back and 13 inch neck. It is in good condition, with only a few frayed breaks in the lace trim (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique wearable art!
