Victorian Calico Cotton Red Clover Print Leg of Mutton Sleeve Bodice & Skirt Dress

This antique Victorian era calico cotton red clover print leg of mutton sleeve bodice, skirt dress dates from 1895. It is made of an off white pinkish hue color calico cotton fabric with a red clover flower green leaf print design symbolizing faith, hope, love and luck. This charming clover calico print two piece dress has a fitted tailored bodice blouse with ruched gathering around the neckline, shoulders, a split fold over collar, long full leg of mutton style sleeves, green silk ribbon trimmed waist with bow accents, hook closures down the front and is fully lined in a white cotton fabric with stays boning sewn inside. The top measures 17 inches long, with a 32 inch chest, 22 inch waist, 24 inch sleeve and 10 1/2 inch back. Included is a matching fabric long floor length full skirt with pleated gathering on the back, a hook closure and is fully lined in a beige cotton fabric inside. The skirt measures 42 inches long, with a 22 inch waist and 60 inch hips. It is in good condition, with faint pinkish color bleed discoloration on the fabric and a few yellow stains on the bottom skirt (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana wearable art!
