Mason’s - Patent Ironstone China – Beaker with Dragon
Handle – Very Good
LADYBIRD BOOKS & COLLECTIBLES SINCE 2004
This very decorative
Beaker with Dragon Handle bears the Mason’s Backstamp with Patent Ironstone
China. With a pattern number B8878
C. In 1872 the orange script numbers
were used, I cannot find this number in the information I viewed. The Beaker feels like porcelain.
In traditional Imari
colours of cobalt blue, red and gold.
Lovely cobalt blue dragon handle edged in gold. There is some pitting and some wear to the
gold and partly hand painted.
I have never come
across an item like this in Mason’s and there is a strange fluting appearance
to the body of the Beaker.
It’s in Very Good
Condition and is a lovely Beaker with Dragon Handle, small wear to base.
Stands proud at approx.
9.5 cm in height. Measurement is
approximate only.
