This listing is for the BOOK and BOX.  There is brown wax? paper which has been wrapped around book and protected the cover even further.

CLEAN and original hardcover, cloth over board, baby book titled The Baby's Biography by A. O. Kaplan-Illustrations are by the famous illustrator Frances Brundage-published 1891 by Brentano's. This book has 69 pages excluding blank endpages. The back has a Phrenological Chart. It has beautiful illustrations of both colored and black and white and is beautifully inscribed. The cover is lovely decorated cloth, with gold highlights. Pages are printed on heavy stock and gilt edged pages. It is a hardcover measuring 10" H" x 8 1/2" W.

The book was for baby Charles Cummings Cain of Sherborn Massachusetts.   Father Manley Cain, mother Grace.   Physician Frank A. Clough.   Nurse Cora Stone.

CONDITION:  We've never seen a baby book so clean and in such good condition. Light antique wear. The box is worn with some edge tears, discoloration, etc. See listing description and photos.
