This job lot of mixed collectables and bits & pieces is an eclectic mix of mainly vintage items:-

Oberammergau vintage resin 3D wall plaque

Three dimensional round wall plaque of a diorama of the village of Oberammergau in Bavaria, Germany.  The inhabitants of the village have performed the Oberammergau Passion Play every 10 years since 1634 in thanks for the village being spared any further onslaughts of the plague.  The hand moulded circular plaque has been cast from resin and is wood effect.  The moulding is nice and crisp and the diorama is very detailed.  There is a hanger on the back.  The plaque is in good used vintage condition; being hand moulded there may be a few tiny imperfections associated with this process – please see photos.

Approximate maximum measurements excluding hanger:-

Diameter: 10.5 cm.

Depth: 1.5 cm.

Steam Locomotives cards glossy pictures by Prescott-Pickup

This is a collection of 7 large vintage glossy cards depicting steam locomotives & tenders published by Prescott-Pickup & Co

These 7 vintage glossy cards with a creamy yellow background were published by Prescott-Pickup & Co. Ltd of Bridgenorth, Salop, England.  The following locomotives with accompanying tenders from various Railway Companies are depicted:-

Approximate measurements of cards: 9.5 x 7 inches.

The corners of the cards have dog eared corners with some surface marks and creases commensurate with age and storage – please see photos.  If the cards were to be framed, dog eared corners could easily be disguised.

Kent Cigarettes complimentary pack of playing cards, complete suits, no jokers

The pack of cards is in a gold coloured cardboard box/case; the box is printed Compliments of Kent cigarettes, Not For Resale.  The back of the box has a card stuck to it face down, revealing the cream coloured back with two castle logos.  The pack of cards has 4 complete suits but no Jokers.  The cards are in clean condition and do not appear to have been used very often.  The cardboard box has wear and tear commensurate with age and handing, e.g. rubbing along the edges and light surface marks.  I have been unable to find similar packs of playing cards in internet searches, so I believe that this may be a rare vintage pack.

Wills Ivanhoe Cigars pack of playing cards, complete

I am not sure how old they are but a Christmas gift tag found tucked inside is dated 1962; this may be a red herring as the cardboard case appears a little older than that, possibly 1930s / 40s.  The Ace of Spades is printed “All British Made, John Waddington Ltd, Leeds & London”.  I can’t even positively link the cards to the case as there is no mention of Wills on the cards themselves – the pattern on the backs has 4 large lions surrounded by a pattern – please see photos.  The pack of cards is in a thick red cardboard case with faux leather outer covering.  The front of the case is stamped Wills Ivanhoe Cigars, Sublimes in gilt; the back is stamped Manufactured by W.D. & H.O. Wills, London & Bristol, Branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co., Great Britain & Ireland Limited. in gilt.  The sides are also stamped in gilt – 4 Ivanhoe Cigars 4.  The case shows wear and tear and has split open; there are no signs of a top and bottom and it is possible that this was just a slip case.  The playing cards themselves are grubby and well used with old tears and repairs.  The pack is complete with 1 Joker plus a blank card which has been drawn on by hand to represent Five of Diamonds - please note that the original Five of Diamonds is still present!

Vintage French style enamel house number 19

This French style oval vintage enamel house number 19 is slightly domed number plate and features black numerals on a white enamel background which makes it really easy to read the number.  The font used for the numbers is unusual - the style features a solid black number with a narrow black line running parallel to the solid colouring; I think it’s called a shadow font – please see photos.  (Most enamel number plates only have solid numbers). The item is in used vintage condition; the number plate has some pitting associated with the enamelling process, dirty marks and damage to the left hand screw hole (the enamel is cracked and broken away).  There are some tiny scratch marks around the right hand screw hole commensurate with age and use.  Please see photos.

Approximate maximum measurements:-

5.7 cm wide x 4.4 cm high.
