This auction is for a reddish brown Yixing clay teapot of mangosteen form with molded and applied blooming prunus branches to spout, handle and cover knob.  Two impressed character marks seen on the underside of the cover, in addition to a hand written "Ixing" in black ink on the bottom foot base of the pot. It is probably dated from the Republic period.

Dimensions:  8.25" W (from back of handle to tip of spout) x 6" D x 4 1/4" H (to tip of cover).

Condition: The pot is in fine condition without chips or cracks (please peruse the photos and ask if any questions).

Net weight of the pot:  roughly 1 pound 0 ounces.
