[Perfect Patterne] London: Printed by G.M. for George Edwards, and are to be sold at his shop at the signe of the Greyhound in Pauls Church-yard. 1636, First Edition.

[Truth of our Times] London: Printed by N.O. for James Becket, and are to be sold at his shoppe at the middle Temple. 1638, First Edition.

First Editions. Two volumes.

Both volumes incomplete. ‘Perfect Patterne’ lacking A7 to B1; ‘Truth of our Times’ lacking all after G12.

Both very scarce copies. There is no record on the Brirish Library ESTC site or on JISC of the ‘Perfect Patterne’ volume. Never recorded.

The British Library records a number of ‘The Truth of Our Times’ in public libraries, the last time one came up for auction was 1995. None for sale that we can trace.

Bound in full worn and wrinkled vellum, the binding coming apart and dry. Front end paper inscribed and repaired.  

Signatures:

‘Perfect Patterne’ – A to A6, A7 to B1 lacking, B2 to K10 with Finis to the bottom of K10 and one blank thereafter.

‘The Truth of Our Times’ – A3 to A6, B to G in gatherings of 12, lacking all thereafter (I to H in gatherings of 12, K in ggathering of 6) 144pp of 203pp.

Approximately 5 inches tall.
