I have here for sale a book entitled BEAUTY'S COSTUME A Series of Female Figures in the Dresses of all Times and Nations containing Twelve Engravings by the First Artist executed under the Superintendence of Mr Charles Heath with original descriptions by Leitch Ritchie.  First edition published by Longman, Orme, Brown, Green and Longmans in 1838.  The twelve paper-guarded plates illustrate different ladies from different countries in traditional costume - Egypt, Scotland, Turkey, Court of Louis XII France, Bern, Milan, Russia, English peasantry, Switzerland, Court of Charles VII of France, Persia, and Scottish Highlands.

Red gilt decorated hardboards with gilt lettering to the front board.  Tear to tail of the spine.  Some wear to corners, hinges and board edges.  Gilt page edges.  Text pages clean, some oxidization to a few of the plates.  24 pages, 29 x 22 cm.

Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
