This vintage wool fabric rectangle is a substantial weight. It’s been stored in a dry, smoke-free environment since the 1970s and is in overall excellent condition, except for some minor moth damage. The fabric is so thick that the moth damage is superficial on one side, while the opposing side looks perfect. I have tried to capture this in the photos, using the tape measure to mark the damaged side and the corresponding undamaged side.

There are slight variations in the pigment, including a few dark spots that appear to be in the yarn, which makes me wonder if the fabric was woven from hand-dyed wool.

Overall a beautiful rosy red - intense, but elegant. Not primary red. Please see photos and feel free to ask questions.

Measures 59” x 54”.
