MY BOOK OF FAIRY TALES

 This vintage hardback edition (undated, but believed to be circa 1950s) presents

 a selection of five traditional Fairy Tales for young children, written and illustrated 

 by Hilda Boswell. The stories are accompanied by numerous full-page colour 

and black & white illustrations throughout. The stories are:-

Cinderella; Goldilocks; Snow White;

Rapunzel; Hop-o-my-Thumb.

 Yellow coloured pictorial boards; Colourful pictorial endpapers

which are illustrated with characters from the fairy tales.

The covers are scuffed with edge/storage/handling wear and corner bumping. 

 The interior is in good condition although the pages are slightly age-toned - 

more noticeable on the pages with black & white pictures. 

The binding is slackening and there is a small tear on the inside front fly.

The lovely colour illustrations are clean and bright.

Contains the name of the previous young owner written neatly in pencil

on the 'This book belongs to...' page.

Despite its faults, this is a scarce early edition of the Hilda Boswell's collection 

of illustrated Fairy Tale books and contains really lovely illustrations.

Slim volume, measures 21cm x 16cm approximately.  44 pages.
