Selling my nut and bolt restored 1960 Austin Healey Frog Eye Sprite. I have the full log book in my name with lots of paper work and history including heritage paperwork with the correct chassis and engine number in the vehicle.

I have spent many hours welding and repairing the chassis and then coated it with rust preventing agent before painting the underside of the vehicle the same colour as the car. The car paintwork is an original Austin Healey colour (Old English White) and was done at our local body shop with all the door shuts lining up as they should. I have replaced various suspension components to make the underside look brand new.

The bottom end of the engine has been completely rebuilt with new pistons and piston rings. I have also had the crankshaft ground down by a local specialist and they have supplied new main and big end bearings to fit. The head has been rebuilt by Corry Heads who specialise in cylinder heads. All the valves’ seats have been cut and hardened so it can now be driven without any fuel additive. The head gasket and timing chain has been replaced when putting the vehicle back together.

The rear axle and gearbox have been completely overhauled by Apsley Transmissions and then refitted into the car with a new clutch kit, thrust bearing and slave cylinder.

I have converted the front brake drums into front brake discs and pads for additional safety and fitted a brake servo alongside to help with the braking. The rear drums, shoes and cylinders are all brand new, the brake lines and master cylinder are all brand new.

The interior is finished with red leather and red carpet with new dials and nobs – all working faultlessly. I have also added seatbelts for added safety.

The fuel tank and fuel lines have also been replaced, I have also fitted an aluminium radiator to help the cooling with the car. The points and condensers have been replaced with electronic ignition to help the running.
