TT in good condition overall but selling as spares/repairs due to:
- Whining 4th gear and a notchy change into 5th gear with a slight oil leak on the gearbox
- EPC light came on two weeks ago (going up a steep hill while low on fuel so probably blocked fuel filter or dirty injector?) and is now in limp mode. Still drives and gets up to safe road speeds but has throttle limited so accelerates more slowly
- Battery loses charge after a few days standing but is absolutely fine as long as it's driven regularly
In the last year the car has had a new clutch, brake calliper, RS style front grill, mk3 black badges and 3 new tyres.
It has MOT until 25th January next year.
The car has no stereo as we've removed the aftermarket CarPlay/Android Auto system to sell separately.
The roof, spoiler, rear wind deflector, mirrors, windows and other functions work well and the bodywork looks great for it's age. The car does have a front number plate, its just in the boot as I figured I'd let the new owner decide if they want to fit it or not (it's been on private plates until now so the old ones had to come off anyway) and the car is now back on it's original reg no - CN07 NJJ
My wife has decided not to bother having the problems sorted as she's been put off the car after the EPC light came on (it's not been driven since) and she'd already decided she wanted a car with an automatic gearbox soon anyway so figured this was the right time to let it go and that we'd be better off letting the car go to someone who can probably save money doing the repairs themselves instead of us paying for the parts and labour and then just selling it afterwards.
We have already bought her replacement car so no swaps, thanks.
Car is HPI clear (I payed for a check before buying).
Car is now SORN so unfortunately only very limited test drives are available but viewings BEFORE bidding are encouraged.
Buyer is responsible for payment (bank transfer preferred) and collection of the car within 72 hours of auction end.
