The 540S-SH is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1988. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Roadstar Pro series.

The 540S-SH features a sculpted mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and a single-coil at the neck and modded with Dimarzio super distortion in bridge and HS4 in neck, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a Back Stop stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines. Each pickup is controlled by a separate toggle; the one for the bridge has a additional coil split position.

Comes with the best tremolo system ever to be made for Ibanez (…in my opinion) …the “original Edge”. The Edge is used on various high end guitar models including signature models like the JEM7V and JS2400 as well as many models in the upscale Prestige line.

The 540S-SH was discontinued after just a single year in production.

The guitar is in very good condition for its age with everything looking original with no mods or repairs. The sound is amazing with well balanced highs and lows thanks to this combination of slim body design, wood choices and IBZ/USA dimarzio made pickups . Even the factory instaled Back Stop stabilizer is present. Original brown chainsaw hard case with 80s brand stickers.

Leveled and setup for 009s – 042s for low action. "Heavy right hand picking players” or for other personal preferences, adjustments should be made accordingly
