The Crown of Thorns (Euphorbia milii) is a unique, succulent plant native to Madagascar, widely recognized for its thick, spiny stems and vibrant flowers, which are technically bracts that range in color from red to pink. This plant thrives under bright sunlight and requires minimal water, making it ideal for warm /hot climates or as a hardy indoor specimen. The Crown of Thorns gets its name from the belief that the thorny branches of this species were used to make the crown of thorns placed on Jesus during the crucifixion. Commonly known also as Christ Plant or Christ Thorn, Euphorbia milii is admired not only for its striking appearance but also for its resilience and ease of care.

You get:

A live plant. Well established.1 stem about 2-4” in soft pot or with bare root ball wrapped in plastic bag ( if plant can hold the soil) some plants come trimmed. It is done periodically to promote lateral growth. Let me know if your do not want a trimmed plant.

Trimming is recommended because the plant can grow tall, loose leaves at some point and have a bare stem. It can be your choice.

Packing:

I want to be fare to the planet and recycle as much as I can. While making sure plants are safe and comfortable while growing and during shipping, I reuse pots, water, newspapers, plastic containers, boxes, make my own compost out of kitchen scraps and garden waste, use well and rain water. I refuse to buy pots and packing and create more waste, if it can be substituted safely for what I have on hands.

Household materials like containers, homework, grocery bags are reused to safely pack your plant.

Possible minor damages and leaves yellowing is, unfortunately, a part of shipping process. We do our best to prevent that.

My garden is a small Florida backyard I have started 5 years ago from seeds and cutting. I used my knowledge, love, energy, and natural resources to raise it and now I have more plants then space. All my knowledge is based on research and personal experience. Zone 9B please check your zone by zip code.

Please be advised that where I leave it is always warm. So, be advised that the package is not temperature protected. I can not protect plants from low temperatures and anything below 40F can damage the plant.

We ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid transit delays over weekend.
