Sterilisation is the fifth step in pond filtration.

The UV steriliser is a device for improving the water quality and clarity of aquariums, ponds and domestic ponds. It counteracts and helps to combat the effect of green, cloudy water that appears as a result of the proliferation of algae, bacteria and pathogens. The device is completely safe for resident fish, other aquatic animals and beneficial nitrifying bacteria living in filters and pond substrates.

Aquael PS-9W helps prevent the growth of algae contributing to water greening and the development of diseases of your pond inhabitants. It eliminates or reduces the need to use water chemicals. It has a UV-C filament with a lifetime of up to 10,000 hours. Can operate both above the water surface and fully submerged. Fits most pumps and filters - ø=1˝, ø=¾˝, ø=½˝ hoses can be connected. Can be supplied by both filter and external pump. Easy to install - mounting system included. Equipped with long power cable (5 m). Maximum operating pressure: 0.2 bar. Quartz internal lamp cover. Housing made of UV-C resistant plastic.

Opening the lamp housing automatically switches off the UV-C fluorescent tube.

The water pumped through the UV STERILIZER PS flows through a thin layer directly in the field of the UV-C ultraviolet radiation, which destroys algae, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms. Thanks to the action of the steriliser, the biological balance in the water is maintained at all times and fish and plants live in a comfortable and healthy environment. The PS UV STERILIZER prevents the greening of the water and the growth of algae, which occur when exposed to light and changes in the pH of the water. The outer wall of the active cleaning chamber of the STERILIZER PS UV is made of quartz glass. The clever design of the housing makes changing the bulb very simple, even for an inexperienced hobbyist.

The water flowing through the STERILIZER PS UV should be mechanically filtered through a pre-filter. It should be fed with a suitable AQUAEL pump. The transparent ferrules of the STERILIZER PS UV allow connecting hoses of various diameters.
