The artist’s etchings often have a noticeable shift between the contrast in foreground and background, thereby lending a realistic sense of depth the scenes. His works are in the collections of The Kulturamt in Vienna, the Landemuseum of Lower Austria, and The Society of Art Lovers in Berlin, among others. Figura created over 850 etchings, mostly in color using primarily aquatint, similar to his colleagues Luigi Kasimir and Josef Eidenberger. Hans Figura died on February 17, 1978 in Vienna, Austria.
