The Leicestershire Mercury was a weekly publication founded in 1836 and edited by printer Albert Cockshaw .  It evolved into today's Leicester Mercury.

Thomas Fellows of Rickmansworth was a solicitor and coached/trained cricketer.

A son Thomas Howard Fellows (b1822) was an Eton educated barrister in both London and Australia.  In Australia he was also a politician, judge, benefactor and accomplished footballer and rower.  He was variously Solicitor-General, Attorney-General, Postmaster-General and Minister of Justice.
