Antique Victorian CARVED SHELL CAMEO Swivel Mourning BROOCH, Goddess & Cherub

Up for auction is a superb Antique Victorian carved shell cameo brooch featuring a portrait of a Greek Goddess and a Cherub.

High Quality, well carved piece.
Cameo is mounted in a heavy gold filled frame.
Has a glazed panel (for a photo or hair) with a swivel mechanism.

Probably a Grand Tour piece brought back from Italy.
Will date to the 19th Century.

Measures 6.2cm long and 5cm across.
Weighs 33.6g.

In Very Good antique condition. Has a replacement pin and clasp. (see photographs).
