You are bidding on a heavy and well built Sony STR-6065 vintage stereo receiver.
The STR-6065 is from the upper tier of vintage Sony receivers. It is built like a tank with a heavy frame, a huge power transformer, and massive power capacitors. That all adds up to a warm and rich sound that goes well beyond the rated 45 watts per channel. Staging and presence in the sound field is excellent. This particular receiver was a favorite of critics back in the day.
This receiver has been carefully tested and is in excellent working order. Output is clear and clean in both channels. The switches have been cleaned and lubed for smooth and silent operation. All lights have been checked and replaced as needed.
It's also in excellent cosmetic condition as you can see in the pics. A fresh coat of wood oil has been added to genuine walnut veneer cabinet with excellent results. This STR-6065 really makes a terrific visual impression!
