This week I'm offering a number of old baseball cards for sale. During the Sixties, Topps included premiums as "extras" in their packs of cards, usually a sticker, stamp, coin or some other novelty featuring ballplayers. In 1964, Topps offered a substantial and very nice extra set, a 120-piece series of coins picturing the best players in the game, followed later in the year with an additional 44-coin series of All Stars. The coins are photographs printed on metal, about the size of a half dollar coin, with a brief bio on the back. The All Stars (numbered #121 to 164) are especially striking, featuring a dazzling one color background (blue for American Leaguers and red for National Leaguers). The set remains very popular and highly collectible. Here I have a very nice example of the 1964 coin set, #23 Elston Howard of the New York Yankees. See scans for condition. Not bad for an item that's over fifty years old! This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases.
