Minichamps 1:43 "Rothmans" Livery Williams-Renault FW17 David Coulthaed 1995.

Rare opportunity to acquire a highly detailed Minichamps 1:43 scale replica model Williams-Renault FW17, featuring full "Rothmans" livery, as driven by David Coulthard in the 1995 Formula One season.

The FW17 is notable as being the first "clean-sheet" design from the team since 1991, and the first Williams to race with a raised nose. It was regarded as the best chassis, aerodynamics, engine package in the field, and proved superior in qualifying trim, taking twelve pole positions in the seventeen race season. However, the 1995 season was disappointing for Williams as Michael Schumacher was usually more competitive on race day, with Benetton arguably providing a better race strategy.

In his first full season with the team, David Coulthard began with a second and fourth either side of a retirement. Three straight retirements were then followed by two third and two second place podiums, before two further retirements. In the FW17's final race before being replaced by a "B-spec" version, Coulthard sealed his first victory at the Portuguese Grand Prix. Finishing the season with the FW17B, Coulthard gained third and second place podiums before ending with two more retirements.
In addition to five poles and two fastest laps, David Coulthard scored 49 points, finishing third in the Drivers' Championship, as Williams took second in the Constructors' with 112 points.
