Easy to set up for full-scale miking
The EAD10's sensor unit consists of an XY-type stereo condenser microphone and trigger unit uniquely tuned by Yamaha engineers, and by attaching it to the top of the hoop on the bass drum side (position shown in the attached photo), the entire drum set sound can be monitored in high sound quality with natural balance and localization. The unit can be attached to the top of the hoop on the bass drum side to monitor the entire drum set with natural balance and localization.
High-quality acoustic drum sound monitoring/recording
The drum sound collected through the EAD10's sensor unit can be monitored clearly through headphones and recorded to the main unit's internal memory or USB memory for playback. The EAD10 is also equipped with an auxiliary jack for connecting a portable music player or other device to simultaneously monitor the player's playback and the miked, high-quality sound while playing.
Various Effect Sounds to Expand the Possibilities for Drummers
The EAD10 can process drum sounds by applying effects of your choice to the “audio signal” captured by the sensor unit's microphone. The EAD10 main unit is equipped with more than 30 effects such as reverb and delay, and more than 750 trigger tones. In addition to 50 preset scenes that combine each of these, 200 scenes can be saved by customizing the preset scenes to create your own unique scenes. By adding a variety of tones to acoustic drums, you can expand the expressiveness of your drum performance. It is also expandable to incorporate drum triggers and electronic drum DTX pads (sold separately).
High expandability through linkage with the free iOS app “Rec'n'Share
The “Rec'n'Share” iOS app is available. Select your favorite songs from the library, and the app will detect the tempo and add clicks. Tempo change and repeat playback functions are also included, providing powerful support for drum practice.
In addition, by using the app to record videos on an iOS device, you can easily create high-quality performance videos recorded by the EAD10, and mix, edit, and upload them all from within the app.
