Wireless Remote Control Adapter for Akai tape decks

Add wireless remote capability to your Akai tape deck that says on the back that it needs the RC-21 or RC-90 remotes like the GX-646, GX-747 or GX-77 reel to reel decks and the CS-F9, CS-F11, CS-F33R, CS-F36R, CS-F39R, GX-F15, GX-F25, GX-F35, GX-F37, GX-F44R, GX-F60R, GX-F66R, GX-F66RC, GX-F95, UC-F5 cassette decks.

Please be aware that I make each remote adapter custom when the order comes in. It could take up to about 10 business days before it ships.

This is not an original Akai RC-90, but, a compatible unit that performs the same functions.

In my other auctions I sell similar wireless remote adapters for Revox, Studer, Otari, Crown, Aiwa, Tascam, Teac and Nakamichi decks.

This unit works just like the original Akai RC-90 wired remote. It plugs into the back of the tape decks and allows the transport functions (play, stop, pause, record, fast forward, rewind, reverse play and record mute* *-record mute only works on some decks.) to be controlled wirelessly from across the room. Comes with A DirecTV universal remote, but, you can use just about any universal remote on the market. Just set it for one of the Sony VCR button codes.

This wireless remote adapter requires an external AC adapter which is now included. Let me know which power plug you need (North America, UK, Australia or EU).

This unit can be programmed, via a set of internal jumpers, to 1 of 4 remote codes (Sony VHS, Sony Beta, Sony 8mm and Sony Laser Disc Player). This allows multiple units to reside in the same room and be independently controlled.
