The Logitech cradle doesn't work well to charge your remote battery. I know this because I own a Harmony 880. I love the remote but the charger isn't very good. This charger has a tab at the back to hold the battery against the contacts. The charger plugs directly into a standard wall socket.

Charge Instructions

Charge instructions:
Plug charger into wall without battery. The LED will light up green. Put battery into charger and line up the battery terminals with the charger terminals. The green LED change to red.  When the battery is charged the LED will change back to green.
