We can only guarantee that this item is compatible if the full model number of your computer is exactly matching the model number listed in the title. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify this prior to purchasing the item. If only part of your model number is matching with the one listed in the title this will lead to the item not being compatible with your computer, for which we can not be held responsible.

Operating System Not Included

This extensively tested laptop hard drive is not partitioned and it comes without Operating System pre-loaded. Due to this the hard drive is not yet bootable as booting requires an Operating System installed. To make this hard drive bootable and use it as your system disk you will need a full Operating System Install disc (a Recovery disc is not suitable).

Installing an Operating System on the drive is a very easy procedure, to start you have to ensure that boot sequence in BIOS is set in a way that your laptop will boot from the CD/DVD drive, insert the OS Install disc and restart your computer. Once the installation has started the Install disc will partition, format and install the OS on the drive, all you need to do is follow onscreen instructions and once the installation has finished you can start using the hard drive.

The Operating System disc is not included.

Accessories

Our hard drives come without connector adapter, cable, caddy, other accessories and we don't sell these parts as they are easily transferable from your old hard drive to the new one.

If you can connect your old hard drive directly to your laptop without using an adapter then there was no connector adapter attached to your old drive so the new drive won't require one either. The general rule is that if an adapter or caddy is required then you can transfer the caddy and adapter from the old drive to the new drive so you don't need to purchase these accessories again.

In case your old drive has any connector adapter attached please remove and connect it to the new one before installing.

Delivery

To guarantee a quick, cheap and secure delivery we follow these principles:

- products are held in stock in our West Midlands distribution centre
- all items are packed securely with anti-static protection
- cheap UK and Worldwide shipping

Although we do our best to ensure that the item is with you in a timely manner we have to use a carrier service for the delivery part. Therefore delays may be encountered due to reasons beyond our control.

Warranty

30 days RTB warranty applies to all refurbished products, which starts on the date of receipt.

The warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, modification of the product or incorrect adjustment.

According to manufacturer's limitation of liability the warranty with this item is for the HDD only! We are not liable for any data lost should the item become faulty. We strongly recommend that all valuable data is backed up regularly.

It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the laptop for which the upgrade is ordered is in fully working condition prior to purchasing the item. If you are unsure that your laptop meets this criteria we don't recommend buying the item to avoid further complications.

We pack every item securely to ensure that you receive it in the same fully working condition as it leaves our warehouse. But if you assume that goods were damaged in transit please let us know and return them as soon as possible. If the product is found defective after inspection you will be offered replacement or full refund on your choice. In case the item is working or you purchased it by mistake and no longer wish to keep it you will get a full refund after deducting a 10% fee and we won't be able to refund postage costs either.
