The voice bank I have created as an ALL File contains 128 very high quality voices from most categories on the ES, and 10 Performances (most of which are actually Voice Performances to create larger sounding voices).   DEMO AVAILABLE (mp3) upon request.  An Editor  file has also been created for the S90ES, ES Rack, & the MO6/8. Keep in mind the Editor file only contains the 128 voices plus a few bonus voices in User bank 2 and not the 10 Performances. The S90ES & ES Rack require the Voice Editor program to load the Editor file (free download from Yamaha). PLEASE specify which instrument you have so I can send the correct file.

You will need some memory (on the Motif ES only) as I have incorporated some user waves in some of the voices. However, if you do not have memory on your Motif ES, I can send you an ALL file that has the user waves replaced by preset waves and tweaked to sound very close to the original user waves. I can link the demo's so you can hear a quite a few of these voices. The first contains the demo with Ap’s, Ep’s, Or’s, Ac & El Gt’s. The 2nd contains Rp’s, St’s, Br, Pd/Choirs, & Synths. There are 2 other demos specific to DX/FM voices & to choirs.  I will also deliver the All file or Editor file upon purchase Worldwide for FREE via email with an attachment.

This library contains 14 Acoustic pianos, most of which I spent a lot of time on velocity sensitivity. As you recall the 3 layer S700 from the S90 would kick in different elements at various velocities to change the timbre of the voice. I have managed to achieve a similar result using only one element. As you play very softly and gradually play harder (pianoforte pf) you will hear the timbre change accordingly as I demonstrated in the demo. This makes the voices very responsive to your touch.

There are 15 Electric pianos, several of which I have incorporated a similar velocity sensitivity using one or more elements, which you can also hear on the demo attachment. There are 2 additional keyboard sounds, 4 Clavs and 1 Harpsichord.

There are 14 organs. I spent a lot of time on the rotary effect to try to get the most out of it as I felt that many existing stock voices were somewhat anemic in this area. I tried to show this in the demo. In fact, if you turn the volume up and get close to your speakers, you can actually feel the wind in your face, like standing in front of a Leslie (just kidding).

3 acoustic guitars with AT on one of them. 13 electric guitars, 2 with AT and 4 with an arpeggio attached that triggers at high velocity (123-127) and 1 sitar.

There are 2 saxes and 2 flutes one of each has been programmed for BC but can be played normally on the keys.

I programmed 2 violins and 2 cellos with no vibrato.(as this was a major complaint) They are programmed with AT vibrato as demonstrated on the demo. I also paid attention to velocity sensitivity and gave additional volume expression on the mod wheel to simulate the various strokes of the bow. These voices are actually interchangeable depending on the register you play them so you actually have 4 violins and 4 cellos. There are 7 additional string voices as well. 1 Performance has a large string section with no vibrato.

There are 4 brass sections and 9 combination brass, strings and other various instruments to give you different types of orchestras.

I spent a lot of time on choirs and came up with 11 very usable voices which can be heard on the demo. Plus there are 2 voices with choir pad combo sounds. There are also 3 voices in the Cp category.

Finally there are 16 synths in the Sc, Ld and Pd categories and 1 Me voice.

Within this voice library, there are 6 voices that are actually ES stock voices that I tweaked, 2 Ap’s, 1 Ep and 3 Organs. There is also 1 Gt from the original Motif. You can tell which ones they are as the names are basically the same. The Ap’s have been given greater velocity sensitivity and I was able to squeeze a little more decay from the waveform, the EP and organs IMO, sound better in a mix as I cleaned them up a bit taking some of the muddiness out of them. I have already cleared it with Yamaha and they have no problem with me tweaking their voices and including them in the library. I only included them because I felt some of you would appreciate the tweaks on these voices as you should find them a little more usable, especially in a mix.

Listen to the demo to decide if this is a library you might want. It is unique in the sense that most libraries generally give you 128 variations of the same type of instrument, whereas with this one you get many different categories of instruments. Keep in mind the voices sound even better from the ES, as you loose some nuances to a computer attachment (mp3). I will email you the All file or Editor file as an attachment upon purchase. I also included a few bonus voices in the User bank 2 that I was going to eliminate but figured I’d throw them in as well. This library is available for the XS as well (see separate listing for the XS).

Thanks for listening.

USER COMMENTS:

"Probably the best pianos I’ve heard made with ES factory samples."

"Fantastic sounds!! Saved my Mo6 from the garage sale."

"The voices are a bit more than bread & butter. I’d say a fresh baked French bread with some appropriately ripened Camembert cheese."

 "...beautiful strings"                                                "...amazing choirs"

"Absolutely Awesome Sounds. Digital pianos are awesome. Highly Recommended"

"The voices sound great. Best acoustic piano voices for my MO6"

"FANTASTIC! BEST $30 I'VE EVER SPENT. GREAT PROGRAMS! GREAT COMMUNICATIONS!!!"

"JUMP ALL OVER THIS ! Great seller & GREAT PRODUCT! Pete, you are an artist !"

"I must say they are PHENOMENAL. Some Really great edits. I'm glad to see you used the VINTAGE C HAMMOND organ sound. It's one of my favorites and your Leslie edits are just about as realistic as I've heard. I was extremely impressed with the strings & choir pads. Pianos are WONDERFUL."

"The Power Bank is worth every penny and more!  My MO8 actually has some life now and is a joy to play.  I have to admit that I was disappointed with this board after I bought it and only used it for a few select patches.  The Power Bank has changed that and I couldn't be happier.  Thanks again Peter.  This was money well spent!!"

"I decided to try out the Powerbank sounds.  The sound creations and edits are truely incredible.  Especially the DX and electric pianos.  Being a big fan of 80s and 90s praise and worship - especially that of Hosanna! Integrity music. I have always tried to recreate that “sound” when on stage but never could really seem to find the sounds that moved and inspired me.  Well finally I have!  I close my eyes and play and I feel like I am right there in the mix of the Hosanna music.  To any worship leaders who are looking for the sound that just brings the congreation into a higher plane, this is the soundset to get.  Check it out. I can’t wait to try out more.  I have so many favorites from the set that it is even pointless to add them to my favorites list on the MO because it includes every sound.  And I won’t even get started on the organs and guitars! "

"Thanks a million ! I just got PB loaded on my mo 6. I've only scratched the surface, but it is beyond good. It exceeded my expectations and met my hopes. The sounds are rich and very musical. It's worth much more than what I paid. Really breathed new life into my mo 6. I highly recommend this to all mo 6 & 8 players!"

"I just finished giving the sounds a "headphone" check.  VERY GOOD!  Yamaha's sounds are thin and very "lab" sounding - clean but not musical - yours are much more gigging / real world oriented - they actually have cojones.  I double checked and there's no comparison between the Motif ES acoustic piano patches and yours. "
