Every season in Australia is more beautiful than the next and this beauty has been captured in brilliant color by The Perth Mint’s Australian Seasons series.

 

The Cockatoo is one of the most iconic of all Australia's birds, instantly evoking images of the Australian bush-land.  This species often mates for life and can live between 50 and 90 years, depending on its environment.

 

The fourth and final release from the stunning Australian Seasons series depicts the beauty and color of spring.  Taking place from September to November, spring is the unforgettable period in which Australia comes alive – the weather warms, plant life flourishes, and creatures welcome their young into the world.

 

Proof Quality 99.9% Pure Silver - The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

 

Superb Square Design – The coin’s reverse depicts two struck White Cockatoos, framed by brightly colored Banksia and Wax flowers, and an evening sky.  The inscription SPRING and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated into the design.

 

Limited Mintage - No more than 5,000 of these coins will be issued by The Perth Mint.

 

Australian Legal Tender - Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and monetary denomination on the obverse.

 

Presentation Packaging - The coin is housed in a clear, contemporary, square-shaped latex case which displays both sides of the coin. The case is packaged within a beautifully illustrated shipper.
