This is a very pretty pennant flag from LOM Aviation repair facility of former Czechoslovakia made to advertise the 75th anniversary of the company. The flag is made of a soft, fine weave, silk-like, screen printed material, side stitched within a transparent protective sheath, ending in a loop hanger. It is 22cm high.
The picture features the company logo on one side and the inauguration date on the other.
Historical Background
The Malesice aircraft repair facility and aerodrome was created in 1915 during World War 1. LOM are operated by the Czech Ministry of Defence. They deal with the modernization and repair of helicopter technology, principally offering a comprehensive service for the Soviet Mil-Mi helicopters of which many are in service around the world.
LOM trains helicopter pilots and ground personnel to maintain and service avionics, communications, weapons and protective systems.
