The R-MUX Port Expander, which can be connected to both the MultiPort and the 48DI, provides port expansion by
multiplexing up to 16 additional RS232 serial ports. The R-MUX 1004 multiplexes ports in groups of four onto each NFM XC
port. The unit comes with 8 serial ports and can be increased in groups of four to 16 by using the appropriate option

This unit contains the maximum amount of ports (16)
The additional MUX IN, Ethernet, and RS232 ports are not included!
Unit will fit a standard 19" rack.
