Description


The Screamer has a soft round rim which is very comfortable. The width of the rim helps offset lip swelling, and there is some undercut for chop room. The small inside rim diameter (.590") is paired with an extremely shallow V bowl cup (similar to Bach F in depth). The entrance to the throat is rounded and very receptive to good air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with the Screamer. Customers that have played this model have described it as being similar to some of the smaller Warburton pieces like Shoop and Odneal. The Screamer is not a copy of either of these, but has a similar rim and cup. It has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore. The design elements of this piece focus on accentuating upper register playing while improving endurance and sound for the player. As the name indicates, this piece is perfect for screaming lead!

This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
