Solid Brass or Cast Iron
Beautiful and delicate in appearance, but very strong. With an ornate scroll and acanthus leaf design plus anchor motif.

The brass brackets are cast from solid brass. Hand polished and unlacquered. The cast iron brackets are 'iron grey' in colour and have a protective lacquer finish.

How they are made
Each bracket is "sand cast" - the same process used to make the original Victorian brackets. Molten metal is poured into sand moulds formed using an antique pattern. This makes an authentic antique style which is not machine finished.
