Smokey Cocoa Chilli Spice Rub

 

Contains some great Mexican classics such as Mexican Oregano, Chipotle Chilli & Ancho Chilli. Great smoky flavour!

 

This rub blend will bring a rich authentic flavour to your Chilli Con Carne with plenty of heat. You can use as much as you want to taste so it doesn't have to be that hot. To a pan of chilli for 4 people you probably only need to add a tablespoon full (approx. 15g). As I said its to your taste so if you try it and it needs more, just add a bit more until you get the desired heat level.

 

We add cocoa powder to our mix to give a deep rich flavour and colour to the dish. You can also use this seasoning mix/rub on slow cooked meat, tamales, taco's and meat for the BBQ. Great on red meats such as Brisket and beef ribs.

 

Cocoa or chocolate is used in many savoury dishes whether it be in a sauce or Tamale and you will be surprised how this enhances the dish.

Ingredients: Cocoa, sugar, smoked paprika, salt, mexican oregano, chipotle, crushed chipotle, crushed ancho, ancho, crushed habanero, mustard, Paprika, Coriander, Cumin, Ginger, fennel, garlic, pepper.
