They have pre-attached elastics at the heel and a string to pull them tighter at the front.
They are available in whole and half sizes.

Width:A=narrow, B=medium/narrow, C=medium, D=wide, E=extra wide ---  I have a medium/wide foot and C-E's fit me fine.  I don't think the width's vary by that much.
These shoes fit really well but PLEASE note, above size 1.5 they cease to fit like street shoe (examine the list below or get on the Capezio website for fitting).
