After much research and work, I am happy to present the newest Redline wheel for your collection or project. As many have come to know, the early cars in 1968 were outfitted with what are called, "Deep Dish" wheels. These wheels have a great profile because the mag is inset from the wall of the tire, just like a real car. The Deep Dish wheels were only produced early on in the first year, and dropped because the mag area was difficult to finish without ruining the wheel. Efficiency in production was the goal, so the engineers moved the mag to be flush with the tire wall - and the rest is history!

We have offered Deep Dish wheels for over ten years for installation on castings that did not have them installed originally. Collectors and customizers like the Deep Dish wheels because they actually look like real wheels. The problem is that the Deep Dish wheels could only be installed on castings with "bearing" style wheels from 1968 and 1969 - Until Now!

All castings from 1970-1972 that came with Cap style wheels can now be retrofitted with the famous and desirable Deep Dish wheel profile! This all-new wheel is no wider than the standard cap wheel, and looks completely original! They look outstanding!

The early 1968 cars came with two sizes of Deep Dish wheels; small and medium. What you are looking at now is the Deep Dish format wheel in the CAP wheel format! It was never produced this way, and collectors have always tried to imagine what their Evil Weevil, Snake, Mongoose, S'cool Bus and countless others would look like with this size Cap Deep Dish wheel! Now you can get some and see how they roll!!

This new Deep Dish Cap Wheel is available in both sizes for Cap Wheels, and comes in both Dull and Bright Chrome mag finishes. Original Deep Dish wheels were done in Dull Chrome. Check our eBay store out for all the other wheel types from 1968 through 1972.

This listing is for a set of 4 Redline replacement wheels. Two are Medium size, and two are Large size Cap wheels. These wheels fit the original redlines from 1970 to 1972. They are the classic looking Redline wheels found on the most of The Heavyweights Series, Olds 442, Classic Cord, Snake Funny Car, Mongoose Funny Car, as well as many other castings. They also fit on the front of Sizzlers. The mag is very detailed with bright shiny chrome. See panel on the right for a complete listing of castings these wheels will fit.
