UREI 100-A Sonipulse Audio Monitor System Analyzer Recapped Tested Works Well. No Microphone is included. S/N #396.

The UREI Sonipulse was designed to enable any studio owner or technician to measure and calibrate the frequency response of a speaker system in 30 minutes or less. The unit has a signal generator section and a receive section. The signal generator generates a rapid pulse, similar to a metronome sound, that is patched into the loudspeaker under test. A microphone with a standard XLR connector plugs he receive section, which selects  and measures the sound pressure level of 26 1/3 octave bands. Using special graph paper that is included with the unit, it is simple to plot the frequency response of the system. If the system has equalization, the EQ can be tuned to improve and flatten response. The unit can be used with any mono, stereo, or surround system.

These systems were originally supplies with a lunchbox type case and an AKG microphone, but neither is included with this sale. You will need to supply your own microphone and set the Response switch to the FLAT position. We've fastened a piece of plywood to the bottom to protect and insulate the PC boards, but the unit has exposed parts and circuitry on the sides. However, it works well and if used with a quality dynamic mic, or condenser mic compatible with 18V phantom power, can easily be used to measure and tune speaker systems. A complete copy of the UREI operating manual is included, along with 10 blank graph sheets. A switch on the rear panel selects between 115 and 230 volt power.

All the electrolytic caps in the unit have been replaced. It has been carefully tested and works well.
