You asked and we listened. We improved the Buffer Retrofit with a selectable buffer on the tuner output, a brighter Piranha LED and we made the color of the LED user selectable!

The Griffin Effects Buffer Retrofit adds buffers to the input and outputs of the pedal. This does two things...it isolates the pickups to prevent loading of the volume pot and removes the series resistance of the pot combining with the capacitance to ground of the guitar cable. The tone that goes in the pedal now is the tone that comes out the pedal!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This kit is for the passive volume pedals. After installation your pedal will be an active pedal and require a standard 2.1mm center negative power supply (not included). The volume pedals circuit board will be replaced with a new one. This new one will have a DC jack (no drilling required) on it which can be accessed from between the treadle and base of the pedal. The Griffin Effects Buffer Retrofit comes without jacks and you will need to remove the jacks from your existing board and use them or contact us to have new jacks already installed or included. Some volume pedals have a taper switch or pot. Installing this retrofit will remove this function. This retrofit will not work on stereo pedals.

Returns & Claims

If item is defective, contact us and return the item within 14 days and a refund will be issued if item is deemed defective by Griffin Effects and not the buyers misuse, abuse, or negligence.

In the unlikely event that we have shipped the wrong item, we will refund your entire purchase and shipping in both directions. Please contact us immediately for instructions.

We will process all damage claims with the carrier and may request that you return the item. Please retain original shipping containers and notify us immediately if you suspect damage in shipment.

Damage can occur due to careless handling of sensitive electronics; and for that reason, we can not accept the return of items where the factory seal is broken or the item has been installed.
