Some Yaesu radio's have both Linear and Tuner jacks, the amplifier switching circuit appear on BOTH connectors. 

REMEMBER to look at your particular radio manual to see if you need to change a menu function to activate "Linear" or some other wording.

There is no buffer circuit in this cable, just a cable with 8 pin connector to connect your radio's amplifier keying circuit to your amplifier relay closure circuit.
I suggest using our RBI-1A as a protective buffer in addition to this cable.
Some amplifiers relay closure circuit have more voltage or draw more current thn your radio can handle, either way a buffer is suggested.
