TwinFlow Eco Blade | Grey | 62 - 72 dbA | Energy Efficient | Quiet

8 - 16 Second Drying Time

Introducing the innovative Twin flow (Dualflow) Eco hand dryer, a new blade style dryer that boasts a stylish design, energy efficiency and fast dry times with a relatively low noise output. The Twinflow is without doubt one of the best all-round blade style hand dryers available on the UK market, a statement that is confirmed via controlled, independent testing. We believe that the Twinflow is the best alternative to the Dyson Airblade; in fact, in many ways, the Twin-flow is a superior model.

Speed :

Manufacturers state a dry time of between 8 and 16 seconds

This is owing to the blade of continuous air that literally forces moisture from the hands and into the clean drainage system. Dyson Airblade has the substantially larger airflow of 410 mph and brings with this slightly better drying times, however, this needs to be taken into consideration against other important factors such as noise, energy efficiency and cleanliness.

Noise :

Manufacturer states a noise level of between 62 and 72 dbA at a distance of two metres

Quiet hand dryers are a necessity for many locations, such as the workplace, schools and hospitals. When comparing the Twinflow against its high speed blade competitors, such as the Dyson Airblade or the Mitsubishi Jet Towel, the Twinflow comes somewhere in the middle being quieter than the Dyson Airblade, yet louder than the Jet Towel. Manufacturers tend to measure db(A) at different distances which makes it difficult to undertake a comparison exercise from the specification, however, we can confirm from using the products that this assessment is accurate.

Usage :

Suitable for high usage washrooms

Energy Efficiency :

The Twinflow hand dryer comes with an adjustable motor which allows the perfect balance to be achieved with regards high speed hand drying and low energy consumption. The Twinflow is rated at 0.42kw on its ultra-low energy setting and 1.1kw on its maximum speed setting, thus making the product the most energy efficient ‘blade hand dryer available on the UK market. Whilst in low energy mode, it is claimed that the Twin-flow uses just 1.9w of power during its 16 second dry time, and that in fast dry mode it dries in a speedy 10 seconds using a mere 3.28 watts.

With the flexibility offered by the Twin-flow, it can be adapted to best meet the needs of the location in which it is situated. For example, high traffic washrooms where queuing may occur could opt to set the hand dryer to its fast dry setting to guard against congestion; whilst facilities that have a steady but regular stream of users may decide to use the eco setting to maximise energy efficiency and to turn the Twinflow into a ultra-quiet hand dryer.

Hygiene :

Twinflow features a drainage system and drip tray which collects excess water and thus prevents the risk of wet and slippery floors; this is especially relevant for high traffic areas. This is a particular plus point for the Twinflow against downward airflow dryers or blade hand dryers that don’t come with drainage.

The surface of the Twinflow contains Biocote, a proven anti-microbial and anti-bacterial protection with silver ion technology that resists the growth of microbes, such as bacteria and moulds. The Twinflow also has an antibacterial filter to help cleanse the airflow and to prevent mildew and mould from growing inside it.

Product Longevity :

The Twinflow has a universal brush motor. The brushes will need to be replaced after approx 1500 continuous hours or 450,000 drying cycles and the motor will need to be replaced after approx 3000 continuous hours or 900,000 drying cycles

Installation :

The Twin Flow has a moderately complex installation and some considerations will need to be made.

Vandal Resistance :

We do not recommend this dryer in washrooms with a high level of vandalism

User Friendliness :

One particularly excellent feature to the Twinflow is its diagnostic LED display system, which highlights the status of the unit at a glance, at described below:

 - Green light - the dryer has power

 - Blue light - the drip tray is full and requires servicing

 - Red light – the unit has a malfunction

The hand dryer has a most user friendly servicing system. A release valve allows the collected water to be released without the necessity of removing parts.

Another useful aspect to the Twinflow is its digital registry system; this function keeps track of the hours the Twinflow has been in use and the number of drying cycles it has undertaken. This information assists the Facilities Manager in setting up the dryer to the required speed setting, it gives an idea as to when serviceable parts may need replacing, and enables a cost comparison to be carried out against paper towels.
