Up for sale is a fantastic piece by / from Henry Miller and Bezalel Schatz related to their fantastic 1947  "Into the Night" publication.

Honestly, I am not entirely sure what this piece is. I listed it as a prospectus but that is not it exactly, at least in the form I have previously seen it.  This is a folio size piece which folds out into a large two page piece with a lithograph signed by both Miller and Schatz with text on both pages from the book.  It is covered in an onion skinned jacket which has text also and I have never seen.  Jacket is three sided (see photos) The first page has the text, second sheet covers back and the third sheet covers the print side of the folio page.

Overall this piece measures approximately 12 x 16 when folded. The open folio two page interior measures approximately 24 x 16.  There are so many variants and details to the unique printing of this work I can not find a specific reference to this.  Signatures and text appear to be printed on the onion skinned jacket.

Generally good condition with some issues. First, the jacket has chipping along edges and at folds, Browning  and some loss at edges.  The pages of the folio have some light browning and some more heavy discoloration at far edges especially top.  Some bleeding from the print to front blank page and some discoloration caused by the jacket. A very scarce, perhaps one of a kind, piece in nice but not perfect condition.  A great addition to any collection.
