Scattered Foxing throughout 

An unsophisticated set 

Moderate external wear to boards - soiling and wear - contemporary boards  in acceptable condition 

Previous owner wrote "ex libris Brent Gration Maxfield dated 1966" inside covers - most likely purchased in 1966 at his book auction.

Front board on v2 is loose and is almost off even with careful packing may arrive OFF

Hand cut paper - edges rough cut 

Edges soiled

Exhibits offsetting of plates

As pictured it would appear that a mischievous previous owner drew a face on the cocoa bean - but further research shows it was printed this way "face of a monkey" 

text block free of writing
