Welcome, and thank you for looking!

New brass winding key that fits Uhrenfabrik M. Reiner miniature movement clocks. These are all clocks produced by Reiner.

We know anniversary clocks. Are you looking for a key for your clock, but aren't sure if it is a Reiner miniature movement clock? Are you looking for a key for one of your other anniversary clocks? We can help!

Uhrenfabrik M. Reiner began producing anniversary clocks in 1951. By 1955, he was driven out of business due to the intense competition among German manufacturers for the American market. During those few short years, he sold clocks not only under his own name, but also under such importers as Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing Company, Euramca Trading Corporation, Forestville Clock Company, Hall Craft Corporation, Heco, and John Wanamaker, among others. To complicate matters, other anniversary clock manufacturers also sold clocks through these same importers. Reiner even sold some standard movement clocks with his name on the back plate with movements manufactured by Uhrenfabrik Herr. Reiner and Herr were actually related to each other, and complimented each other's output. Reiner exclusively produced miniature movement clocks, while, with the exception of a few experimental miniature movement clocks, Herr exclusively produced standard movement clocks. And although some Reiner miniature movement clocks have some uniquely identifiable characteristics, such as a pendulum locking device built into the base that operates by moving a flattened bar which protrudes through a slot in the back of the base, or tall, cone shaped finials, others may not.

Here's how we can help you find the right key for your clock: Contact us, and attach a close up picture of the brass plate on the back of your clock (this plate is like a fingerprint). It should be a fairly sharp picture, but doesn't have to be perfect. If any writing on the plate cannot be read from the photograph, just type it in the text of the message. No digital camera? No problem. Along with any writing on the back plate, include a top to bottom measurement of your clock. We will reply with the clock manufacturer's name, movement size, approximate date of manufacture, and the title of our auction for the right key if we stock a key that fits. We stock keys for all anniversary clocks made after WWII, as well as some anniversary clocks made before. Any questions, just ask!
